History.
Single-turret variant of the 7TP (‘7-tonne Polish’) light tank which was the basic weapon of the Polish armed forces during the September campaign of 1939. It was descended from the British Vickers E tank, the license for which Poland bought during the interwar years. Polish improvements to the original included the installation of a diesel engine. 132 were produced between 1935 and the outbreak of the war, the majority were single-turret and armed with the 37 mm Bofors wz.37 gun.Â
