History.

ORP Dzik was a Polish Navy submarine that served with distinction during the Second World War. Built in Britain as HMS P52, she was transferred to the Polish Navy in 1942 under an agreement with the Royal Navy. ORP Dzik operated mainly in the Mediterranean Sea as part of the famous Polish “Terrible Twins” duo, alongside ORP Sokół. The submarine carried out numerous patrols against Axis shipping, particularly in heavily defended waters near Italy. Despite operating in dangerous conditions, Dzik achieved notable success, sinking or damaging several enemy vessels. After the war, the submarine was returned to the Royal Navy in 1946 and later scrapped, but she remains an important symbol of Polish naval contribution to the Allied war effort.
